ALL MED State Conference -2019
Wendy Propst, Olguita Santiago, Ronsey Chawla, Christina Fenrich, Kathy Trizna, Sarah Butler, and Patty Loose attended ALLMED this year. It was a great time full of leadership, laughter, and fun! The TCMA won the Mary Ann Homer Legislative and Political Action Award! We were awarded $250 from the TMAA and received a certificate of honor signed by the TMAA president. Sarah and Ernest Butler were there to present their awards for excellence in science teaching.

Saint Louise House

TCMA volunteers set up and furnished a new apartment for a mom and her 3 small children in June, 2021. Saint Louise House provides transitional housing to empower women and children to overcome homelessness. SLH is entering its 20th year and has two apartment complexes currently housing 42  families. Many thanks to all who donated bedding, bath, kitchen, pantry, household items, furniture, and rugs. We had a great morning setting up the apartment for the new family. It is amazing how quickly this space was transformed into a cheery, cozy new home. TCMA volunteers will be providing meals for SLH families during the coming year as well.

AUSTIN ADVENTURES

On April 4th, a group of 9 ladies ditched their typical Tuesday and joined a Travis County Park Ranger for a private tour of Hamilton Pool Reserve. They enjoyed learning about the history of the area and about the flora and fauna that inhabit this unique piece of the Texas Hill Country that has become the hot spot for people from all over the world to visit.
