Inga Ruckman
President-Elect
Inga Salyers Ruckman was born in Guatemala City, and came to the United States with her family at five years old. Inga graduated from Texas State University before joining tech giant IBM as a Sales Executive. In her over 18 years with IBM, Inga was responsible for driving analytics sales and managing large projects for North America. Inga is a certified project manager professional.
In 2016, she and her husband -ophthalmologist Dr. Richard J. Ruckman - retired to focus on medical mission trips in underserved communities in Belize, Fiji, and Guatemala. Throughout the years Inga has filled many roles - from administration, to translator, and now surgical assistant to Dr. Ruckman. She is touched by the impact that the gift of sight has on the communities they visit, and has great admiration for physicians like her husband who provide care to those in need. In 2018, Inga became a certified yoga instructor in order to share the yoga practice with mission volunteers, patients, and anyone who may find joy in the practice. Inga joined TCMA in 2020, and is excited to be part of an organization that serves our local community. She has met so many kind and caring people and is very thrilled to continue lifting the local communities for years to come.
Inga’s twenty-five year old daughter, Stefanie Renee Salyers, graduated from the University of Texas in 2017 and moved to New York City to pursue her love for musical theatre. Stefanie has found great success, featuring in many musicals and Broadway national tours. Inga loves dogs, enjoys practicing yoga, weight training, running, ballet, opera and musical theatre.
